Whey Protein

Whey protein is a mixture of proteins isolated from the by-product of cheese production. Whey protein is considered a complete protein and contains all essential amino acids and is low in lactose content. There are 3 main types of whey protein : whey protein concentrate (WPC) is low lactose and fat, whey protein isolate (WPI) is extremely low fat and lactose , and whey protein hydrolysate (WPH) is zero fat, zero lactose and is the easiest to digest due to "partial hydrolysis".

Why buy an Isolate? The difference between a good Whey protein (WPC) and an Whey Isolate is around .5% lactose. If you are lactose sensitive then its a great choice, if not, then you may want to look at saving money with a Whey Blend or (WPC).
