L-Carnitine

L-Carnitine

L-Carnitine, and Acetly-L-Carnitine is essential for the mitochondria of your cells (the furnace) to burn fat as a source of fuel. Without L-Carnitine, your body has trouble burning stored fat. If your levels are low, supplementing L-Carnitine accelerate the fat burning process, allowing you to more preferentially use fat as fuel.

The human body produces enough L-carnitine to survive, higher levels are required to elicit change or improve condition.

L-Carnitine’s Exercise-Related Benefits: Fights fatigue, Lowers body fat, Increases muscle mass, Beneficially lowers heart rates, Helps the body turn fat into energy, Improves blood flow to heart muscle cells, Enhances muscle performance & endurance, Improves recovery time after physical exertion, Reduces harmful fat oxidation in muscle tissue, Increases exercise tolerance for people with angina, Decreases fatigue-inducing lactic acid accumulation, Improves exercise capacity in patients with heart conditions, Transports fatty acids into the mitochondria & increases energy, Acts as an antioxidant to neutralize free radicals produced through exercise

Other applications of L-carnitine, (and/or its cousin called Acetyl-L-carnitine) include a long list of heart and cardiac conditions, high blood fats and cholesterol, insulin resistance and diabetes, improved mental alertness and mood, preservation of brain function and memory, better exercise endurance, fatty liver and hepatitis, kidney failure and dialysis, improving male sperm count and better sperm motility, and much more.
